The Stone House Inn is a renovated 1907 stone home located on the western slope of Colorado in the heart of historic Crawford. The Inn offers lodging in two nicely renovated and tastefully appointed guestrooms. We at the Stone House Inn take pride in presenting an appealing, comfortable, private and clean environment from which our guests may explore the wonders of Crawford Country and the North Fork Valley.
The Stone House Inn is not a traditional Bed & Breakfast, nor is it a run-of-the-mill motel. The innkeepers share their home with you, but your space is yours to enjoy in peace. For your privacy and convenience, each room has its own private entrance and bath.
As an Inn, we specialize in providing you with an exceptional lodging experience but leave the meal preparations to area restaurateurs. Those wishing to arrange for a continental breakfast, rather than a hearty breakfast at a nearby restaurant, may do for a small additional fee upon reserving the room.
About our rooms…
Room 1.
Room one is the larger of the two and is decorated in a “romantic” style, featuring a beautiful wooden four-post queen-size bed, a comfortable love seat (that can fold out for a third party if necessary), a dresser, tea table, nightstand with reading light, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. The bathroom sports a spacious walk-in shower. For your enjoyment, we provide a flat screen television and DVD player, as well as a good selection of movies. There’s even popcorn in the fridge to help make your movie-watching more festive. For the convenience of guests traveling with laptop computers, we offer wireless Internet access in both rooms. If you are bringing your sweetheart for a getaway, this room might be just what you are looking for! (If you would like to make special arrangements in advance of your arrival, just give us a call.)
Room 2.
Room two is decorated in an “old farm house” style and features antique and fine reproduction furniture. The bed is a comfortable queen-size iron bed. This room also provides an armchair, a washstand/nightstand, dresser, refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot, and the bathroom sports an antique iron clawfoot tub with shower – the perfect place for a relaxing bath after a day of exploring the area’s wonders. To wind down, enjoy one of the many movies provided with your room’s flat screen TV and VCR.
If you just want to sit back and watch the world go by, or read a book, there is no better place than the porch swing – it’s there for you to enjoy…
To assure the comfort of future guests, neither smoking nor pets are permitted in our guestrooms. Those who enjoy tobacco are asked to make use of the front porch.
