About the Inn
The Stone House Inn is a renovated 1907 stone home located in the heart of Crawford Colorado. The Inn provides two nicely renovated and tastefully appointed guestrooms. Both rooms, though decorated in different styles, will provide you with comfort and privacy during your stay in Crawford Country.
Our rooms both feature private entrances and private bathrooms – so your space is yours to enjoy. The Stone House Inn is not a traditional Bed & Breakfast, nor is it a run-of-the-mill motel. The Cooper-Sponseller family shares their home with you, but not your space. You will find your accommodations to be clean, pleasing and restful.
For those who desire a good but light start to the day, we provide a “help-yourself-style” Continental Breakfast in your room’s refrigerator– normally consisting of pastry, cereal, milk, fruit, juice, yogurt and breakfast bars; and to warm your belly – coffee, tea or hot chocolate. We feel that this frees you from the time constraints that a planned breakfast can impose and allows you to set your own schedule early in the day. If you desire a full breakfast, the Boardwalk Restaurant, right across the street, offers good hearty fare to get you going.
About our rooms…
Room 1.
Room one is the larger of the two and is decorated in a “romantic” style, featuring a beautiful four-post queen-size bed, a comfortable sofa (that can fold out for a third party if necessary), a dresser, tea table, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. The bathroom sports a large walk-in shower. For your enjoyment, we provide a television and VCR as well as a good selection of movies. There’s even popcorn to make your movie-watching more festive. If you are bringing your sweetheart for a getaway, this room might be just what you are looking for! (If you would like to make special arrangements in advance of your arrival, just give us a call.)
Room 2.
Room two is decorated in an “old farm house” style and features antique and fine reproduction furniture. The bed is a comfortable queen-size iron bed. This room also provides a loveseat that can fold out to accommodate a third party, a washstand/nightstand, dresser, refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot, and the bathroom sports an antique iron clawfoot tub with shower – the perfect place for a relaxing bath at the end the day. To wind down, enjoy one of the many movies provided with your room’s TV and VCR.
If you just want to sit back and watch the world go by, or read a book, there is no better place than the swing on the front porch – it’s there for you to enjoy…
To assure the comfort of future guests, neither smoking nor pets are permitted in our guestrooms. Those who enjoy tobacco are asked to make use of the front porch.
